Rancho San Martin
About 15 years ago, in 1994 a Sicilian born New Yorker, Ferdinando Ponti moved from Playa del
Carmen to Akumal. Tired of running a bar and the night life, Nando seeked some peace of mind and
tranquility. He choosed Rancho San Martin to live at. At the time he purchased 40 hectares from Candido
Medina. It was a big chunk of land; So Nando invited some friends to become his neighbors in this new
adventure.
That is how the subdivision of Rancho San Martin started. Now in 2009 all the inventory of land lots are
resales.
Currently there are fine homes being lived at Rancho San Martin, and a couple of Bed & Breakfast ( Casa
Valentina, Organic Yoga & Villa Tortuga).
